Step 1
First, cut a piece of thread approximately 40-50 cm long, long enough to handle well. Wrap it around the middle finger of each hand so that you leave about 5cm of free space to work it on your teeth.
Step 2
To use dental floss properly, you must hold it firmly between your thumb and index finger. Insert it carefully using lateral pressure against each of your teeth, never on the gums, as this could cause bleeding.
Step 3
Next, floss between the spaces between your teeth and clean the sides of your teeth. You can also bend the floss around the base of the tooth to clean the back as well.
Remember to use clean thread for each section. To do this, you can wrap more thread around one of the middle fingers to make it easier for us to release it from one side and pick it up from the other.
Step 4
Take your time. Carefully review the back of each tooth and also the interdental spaces. Well, in this way, we will guarantee that both the surface of the tooth and the gum line are clean.
Step 5
Finally, rinse your mouth thoroughly to permanently remove any food and plaque bacteria that you previously removed from the tooth surface. You can do it with a mouthwash appropriate for you and thus complete your oral hygiene.
Advice:
It is recommended to always do it in the same order. In this way, it will become a habit for you and you will do it almost unconsciously.
